STRANGERS -By- Ejagede Wisdom
Here’s a young poet who has the capacity to connect with hearts through words. Wisdom, (a lover of music and poetry) is currently a Mechanical Engineering student of Delta State Polytechnic.
Yes! Once again we’ve got another unbiased soul who embraces the resplendence of art blended in science.
Today on Express~Shun, Wisdom shares a sagely written piece-Titled: STRANGERS
A maiden pure and undefiled
Celebrated for her celibacy,
As she moved elegantly with her untapped
palmwine kegs, sealed from monkey men.
Her mother’s joy
Her father’s delight
Beautiful but bent
Plagued by an unfortunate event.
With mouth closed as her seal got broken
In her plight suffered each passing day
Tears fermented on her pillow night after night
And even darkness had eaten up her soul.
Coerced by a strangers touch
Her virgin hands had held evil
Thirsting for freedom with no one to fight
For a sip of justice.
Now she is,
A seer in the dark;
Finding KAMIKAZE the only path in sight
The shadow of what she was-
A stranger to herself.
I found her so,
But I loved her still
Right in that darkness;
Squeezing into her space
Now I’m hanging here still,
Cause when she took her breath away
She took mine too…
Thanks Wisdom! Keep telling the untold stories, as you soar higher in the literary space and beyond…
