Little Things

by Eden Benibo

Today
I gave a slice of kindness
Buttered in love
To the old woman on my street,
Who sat on roads
Half as dusty as the sound of her laughter

Silence,
Made me see the pain
Screaming in my neighbors eyes.
It took just a meaningful stare –
Of one and half seconds,
To realize death was nearby

Beautiful
Was all I said to the artist
Whose works went unnoticed
By a world too busy
Carried away by the things,
That should be carried.
